So after Tyson's haircut...
...We went to his mission reunion! We all met inside the SLC temple, where his Argentine Mission president (who knows MY mission president and is going to tell him HELLO for me!) spoke, as well as the Temple President and his wife. They called us to repentance, and reminded us of the importance of the little things. It was powerful! How can it not be with that line-up??
Then we went to eat at the most Mexican place available- RED iguana..
our table took up the entire length of the restaurant. :)
and I tried Tyson's FAVORITE dish. Mole.
...it's an acquired taste. Like 2 years acquired.
Here is Tyson with his Mission President.
The President came over to us in the middle of the evening, and stayed long enough to pull up a chair. We felt so lucky! It told me what kind of missionary Tyson was, for a President to do that! He was so kind, he told us, "I like to see my missionaries marry well." Then proudly he said, "You've shown me what I wanted to see!" Tyson was all smiles :)
He is so loved by all he served with.
They all RAN to see him, got in line for his famous bear hug (he was nicknamed Elder "OSO" in the mission.. OSO=bear), and they told me how lucky I was when he wasn't listening :)
Tyson said, "This night couldn't have been better!" as we got back in the car.
But of course it got better.
'Cause McDonald's still has it's 25 cent cones :)
