The crust was super flaky, and homemade too! Mixed in the pan itself (no mess! I'm all about that, just like the easy amazing muffins made in a ziplock bag found here). And the awesome quiche? Five ingredients- spinach, cheese, eggs, milk and mayo, usually things that are always in the fridge. I added extra hamburger meat we had and it added a lot of flavor.
Here are the recipes!
Pie Crust:
1 1/2 C Flour
1 1/2 tsp Sugar
1 tsp Salt
1/2 Cup Cooking Oil (Veggie?)
2 Tbsp Milk
Mix dry ingredients in pie pan. Then add the wet ingredients. Stir until it all sticks together (you may not need all the oil...). Pat out to fit the pan. Bake at 350 until brown. Recipe said 10 minutes, mine took about 18.
Spinach Quiche:
1/2 C Mayo (we used light)
1/2 C Milk
4 Eggs
4 Cups Cheese
Spinach (like 5 oz, or more?)
Optional Add-Ins: Chopped Ham, Chopped Onions, Hamburger Meat, whatever to flavor!!
Put milk and spinach in blender, blend till smooth. Mix with rest of ingredients, put in pie crust, cover with tin foil and bake at 400 for 45-55 minutes until middle is firm :)
